Description

The Abrasive Tools are also very common, versatile tools, with good durability and good quality/price ratio for the surface finishes and treatment in industrial processes in the manufacturing industry, when the polishing buffs are too soft.

They cover the range of polishing that remain between the polishing buffs and industrial brushes.

Generally, these tools are mounted in previous stages during the industrial processes, where the industrial brushes do the previous cleaning work, the abrasive tools give the first finishing work and after them come the polishing buffs for the final finishing of the surfaces.

The abrasive meshes are made of aluminium oxide or silicon carbide, available in grains from very thick to very thin.

Combinations

There are many combinations resulting from combining the types of Abrasive Tools with the grain and way of working but we can summarize:

  • Vented abrasive mesh buffs:
Ventilated metal mesh abrasive buffs with good satin performance.
  • Corrugated abrasive mesh buffs:
Corrugated discs of abrasive mesh with cardboard or central metal staple to have greater cutting power and uniformity in the finishing.
  • Wheels and rollers of abrasive mesh sheets:
Wheels and rollers in radial sheets. Its main use is satin or when a low cutting capacity is needed, especially in wood or metal finishes, as well as for printed circuit finishes.
  • Herringbone abrasive mesh fans:
Designed for use in portable machines, robots or machine tools, especially for satin, irregular surfaces and hard to reach areas.
  • Discs, sheets and rolls of abrasive meshes:
Discs, and rolls made of abrasive mesh, from discs to sheets.
  • Wheels and rollers with fixed blades and abrasive mesh:
Wheels and rollers consisting of sheets of abrasive mesh interspersed with sheets of sandpaper arranged radially. They are used for little cuts, in metallic articles, bronze and metallic alloys.
  • Mixed sandpaper and herringbone mesh fans:
Mixed fans of mesh and abrasive sandpaper, arranged radially around a core, for the work of the satin or when it has low cutting capacity.
  • Self-ventilated sand blade wheels:
Sandpaper wheels that are suitable for sanding and grinding complex surfaces.
  • Scissors of sandpaper with clip:
Designed for use in portable machines, robots or machine tools. Its great flexibility and concentricity allow working at high revolutions in irregular surfaces and hard-to-reach areas.
  • Abrasive mesh wheels and rollers:
Wheels and rollers made of abrasive mesh impregnated with a synthetic and compact resin. Universal use in deburring, satin, light grinding to fine finishing. Dynamic balancing can be supplied according to ISO 1940-1
